Here is an extended look at the Zombie-bashing gameplay of Dead Island 2. It shows some awesome physical combat, highlighting the game's tons of blood and gore as well as the innovative FLESH system, allowing realistic damage to the undead. There is however a welcoming brightness to the world that, amidst all the 'dark and gritty' Zombie apocalypse games out there, really makes the game stand-out from the crowd, while still drawing a heavy inspiration from the award-winning Dying Light in terms of gameplay. The 'tongue-in-cheek' style is also shown off by the characters, both the ones you meet along the way and the wise-cracking heroine played in this trailer. We do not have much longer to wait before we can move to HelL.A. ourselves and get in on the Zombie-slaying festivities. April 21st is the release date and, following the news that the game has gone 'gold', the game is in no danger of slipping.
