MY VERDICT:

The best thing that can be said about Death Do Us Part (also known as Zoo) is that it is surprisingly not awful. From the painfully short description above, I was expecting a dismal, overly-emotional Zombie-fuelled romantic-comedy. However, this is just not the case; some of the jokes are actually humorous and the movie is fairly care-free - it does have quite a lot of slow-paced drama sections but contains a few moments of action and suspense to keep the flow from getting tedious. A standout moment of humour comes when two scared neighbours attempt to enter the apartment of the two protagonists in order to flee from the Zombies outside. They remain so polite in desperation not to be thrown out and effectively fed to the hordes, even after they are treated with bitter jealousy. I say "hordes" although it is definitely the biggest let-down of the film that there are hardly any Zombies in the movie at all; seriously, if you combined their appearances it would be less than five minutes of screen time - a shame as the undead that do appear are quite convincing. That is not the only disappointment either; the acting is middling at best (although the over-acting in places can lead to increased hilarity) and the budget of the film is clearly very low, the majority of the movie taking place in the one small apartment.
